In 2003, Alberta Children Services established the Community Partnership Enhancement Fund (CPEF) to assist regions with community engagement and to strengthen community based strategies.
In the Alberta Capital Region, funds have been used to promote consistent and open communication between CFSA, FCSS and the non-profit sector.

Activities that have been funded through CPEF have included support for community mapping, partnership coordination and development and local partnership projects. The strength of the CPEF process in Alberta Capital Region comes from the willingness of all partners at the table to work together to achieve best outcomes for children and families. As you explore this site, you will see the creativity and talent of our Coordinator, partners and CPEF members. In Fiscal 2009 - 2010, the Ministry of Child & Youth Services was faced with funding constraints. As a result, CPEF was advised that funding would not be extended beyond March 31st, 2009. We would like to thank the Ministry for its past support. The Steering Committee has met and developed an Action Plan which we hope will allow the partnership work to continue.
